Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a Groundman to support electrical construction and maintenance projects. You will perform manual digging, handle components in ditches, and assist with installation tasks in overhead and underground environments.

The role includes tool retrieval, potential equipment operation training, and on-the-job progression toward crew leadership. Candidates should be able to travel and meet CDL requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use common hand tools (shovels, rakes, etc.).
• Willing to travel as needed for jobsites.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand digging to various depths and in areas with limited equipment access.
• Handle and install products in ditches, including direct bury wire and steel pipes.
• Retrieve tools and support crew as needed; learn to operate equipment when permitted.
• Train to lead a crew in future assignments.
