Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Substation Foreman to lead and supervise high voltage substation construction projects in the United States. You will direct layout, installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of substation equipment, ensuring adherence to plans, codes, and safety standards.

You’ll coordinate craft workers, manage schedules, and drive safe, efficient project execution. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and the ability to read complex plans.

Qualifications

• Must have working experience as a Substation Journeyman or equivalent in industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of project specs and high voltage standards.
• Must be able to read plans and place/verify forms and rebar.
• Must be able to lead crews, coach safety, and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise planning, layout, installation, testing, repair, or maintenance of high voltage substation systems.
• Coordinate craft workers and safety programs to ensure zero injuries.
• Review timecards, prepare daily safety plans, and communicate with supervisors.
