Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Field Project Engineer I to support substation construction teams on-site in California. You will provide technical guidance, liaise with leaders and craft solutions to on-site challenges, drawing on a strong HV/LV installation background.

A minimum of two years in the field is required, with excellent communication skills. You will coordinate with engineering, review submittals, and help ensure compliance with design specs and safety standards while

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of field experience in large substation construction.
• Strong technical background in electrical equipment installations.
• Experience with high, medium, and low voltage installations and grounding.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical expert on site for construction crews and subcontractors.
• Act as technical liaison to project leadership and field teams.
• Ensure adherence to engineering designs, standards and regulations.
• Resolve construction issues and deviations from plans.
• Coordinate with home office engineering for issue resolution.
• Review submittals, RFIs and field documentation and maintain records.
