Xcel Energy is offering a paid internship with the Substation Field Engineering Organization in Colorado. The program provides practical, hands-on training and allows you to apply classroom knowledge while supporting engineering operations.
You will learn to perform AC/DC calculations, assist with design and maintenance, and gain exposure to CAD tools (MicroStation, ProjectWise) while coordinating with Field Engineers during a structured summer program.

Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support our Substation Field Engineering Organization in Colorado. This paid internship provides practical and hands‑on training in the substation area which includes supporting the engineering operations. The program will allow you to apply what you’ve learned in school and further enhance your knowledge through hands‑on training and provide opportunities to network and learn about other engineering organizations.
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $19.29 to $25.00 per hour.
