Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to provide engineering support across planning, maintenance, design, project management, construction, and operations within the area substations. The role emphasizes protection, SCADA/RTU, communications, and reliability analysis.
The candidate will work onsite in Flora, MS, with opportunities to contribute to storm/restoration efforts and to interact with multiple disciplines within Entergy’s Transmission organization.
Provides engineering support to Area Substation personnel. Performs a wide variety of planning, maintenance, design engineering, project management, construction, and operations activities related to routine, non‑routine, and emergency restoration duties. Project areas may include grid/system design, operations and maintenance, planning, asset management, reliability, computer applications, safety, and root‑cause failure analysis. Prior experience in Transmission Protection Systems, NERC PRC‑005 regulations, and RTU/SCADA systems is preferred.
