Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Substation Maintenance Manager in Jackson, MS to lead the transmission and distribution substation maintenance portfolio. You will supervise substation mechanics, relay mechanics, utility foremen and contractors, promoting safe work behaviors and a strong safety culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-8 years related work experience with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of substation maintenance and construction practices.
• Understanding of safety procedures and Entergy Safety Manual, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safety – Engages safety organization and partner to transform field safety efforts.
• Develop, supervise, and direct the annual substation preventative, diagnostic and corrective maintenance program.
• Monitor weather conditions and outages and direct restoration workers during storms and after hours.
• Ensure personnel adhere to FERC/NERC/SERC compliance and maintenance procedures.
• Provide development opportunities for employees through training opportunities.
