Job summary

Entergy is seeking a senior protection engineer to lead design and analysis of T&D protection schemes, relay settings, and system coordination for transmission and distribution networks in the Jackson, MS area.

The role requires overseeing CIP-014, TPL-001, PRC-006 projects, acting as a technical SME, and driving reliability improvements while coordinating with engineering, operations, and field personnel.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in electrical engineering protection without PE/MS or 10+ years with PE/MS
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of protection principles for transmission and distribution systems
• Experience with root-cause analysis of misoperations and reliability improvements

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of T&D protection schemes, relay settings and system coordination
• Oversee CIP-014, TPL-001, PRC-006 projects and related initiatives
• Develop workflows for remote relay settings and PGEN reviews
• Serve as technical SME for complex protection issues across engineering and field teams
• Perform root-cause analyses of misoperations and drive corrective actions
• Lead alarm management alignment with Design Basis, Capital Projects, IT, and Power Delivery
