Job summary

Duck River Electric Membership Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Substations and Distribution grid operations. You will design and deploy power system protection, control, and SCADA integrations, with responsibility for reliability and safety across substations and the distribution network.

The role covers ADMS/SCADA/HMI system management, data integrity, and collaboration with multiple departments. A PE license and 4+ years in electric utilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Four years’ electric utility work experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical substation engineering, protection and controls and ADMS/SCADA.
  • PE license highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain and troubleshoot protection schemes for substations.
  • Manage and configure ADMS/SCADA/HMI systems for real‑time monitoring.
  • Oversee maintenance and testing of protection and control devices.
  • Lead substation upgrade projects and manage timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with IEEE/NERC/ANSI standards.
