Job summary

Entergy Corporation is seeking anEngineer I - Sr to perform planning, maintenance, design engineering, project management and construction within substation and restoration contexts. The role spans grid design, operations, asset management, reliability, and safety, aligned with industry standards.

The position supports cross-functional teams, mentors engineers, and participates in storm restoration efforts. Travel up to 25% is anticipated; Beaumont/Conroe/Metairie locations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial) from a four-year institution.
• Substation relay protection experience preferred.
• PE licensure may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed engineering analysis in substation areas including planning, maintenance, design, project management and construction.
• Applies engineering principles to evaluate alternatives and ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
• Provides engineering and technical support to Substation Supervisors in diagnostic and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Supports activities to comply with industry standards (NERC, SERC) and other regulations.
• Collaborates with Transmission and other business units to achieve goals.
• Assists with storm and emergency restoration efforts as needed.
