Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Engineer in the United States to lead design coordination from schematic design through contract documents. You will coordinate with the power design team, participate in agency reviews for code compliance, and ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality expectations.

You will collaborate with project teams at Spokane, WA; Bellevue/Seattle, WA and other locations, performing QA/QC, handling RFIs, change orders, and ensuring change incorporation into documents while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license is required.
• Experience in power market sector project execution.
• Proficiency with Power Market Sector design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
• Strong collaboration and active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work of the power design team through schematic design and contract documents.
• Establish meetings and reviews with agencies for code compliance.
• Coordinate workload to complete deliverables on schedule.
• Conduct site work sessions with project manager and other disciplines.
• Review documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit project specifications.
• Coordinate addenda, RFIs, COs and incorporate changes into documents.
• Provide construction contract administration as needed.
• Perform QA/QC on the work of others as needed.
