Job summary

CDG Engineers, Inc. in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Substation Engineer (physical design) to design and implement critical electrical infrastructure projects and perform physical design for substations and expansions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience (10+ for senior), and a MO PE license or ability to obtain one. Remote options are available, with hybrid work at our St. Louis headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years relevant experience (10+ years required for Senior level).
• PE license (or ability to obtain PE license in MO).
• Experience designing substations ranging from 12kV through 500kV.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards, including: NESC, IEEE, ANSI, Utility-specific design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical infrastructure projects.
• Physical design for new substations and substation expansions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex challenges.
• Prepare and review drawings, equipment plans, etc.
