Job summary

Alpha 3 is seeking a Substation Engineer with education and experience in substation equipment, calculations, and protection and control to support high voltage substation projects from conceptual through detailed design. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule in Hamilton, NJ.

Responsibilities include creating designs and drawings, preparing one-lines, schematics, layouts, and BOMs within a project team, and coordinating with senior engineers to meet client standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, and create new designs and drawings with guidance from senior engineers.
• Prepare deliverables including one lines, schematics, layouts, site plans, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and BOMs.
