Alpha 3 is seeking a Substation Engineer with education and experience in substation equipment, calculations, and protection and control to support high voltage substation projects from conceptual through detailed design. This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule with three office days (Tue-Thu) and two remote days, ideally in the Hamilton, NJ area.

• Undergraduate degree in electrical/electronics engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of electrical substations including transformers, breakers, disconnects, buswork and associated equipment.
• Familiarity with NEC and NESC; knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD; protection requirements and digital relays.
• Ability to work on a team and on multiple projects.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and pride in work quality.
• Experience with utility projects and client standards.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, evaluate, and create new designs and drawings with guidance from senior engineering personnel.
• Develop designs and drawings such as one lines, schematics, layouts, site plans, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and bills of material.
• Collaborate within an integrated project team to complete deliverables.
