Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-In-Training, Electrical Substation, to join our Jackson, MI team onsite. You will design substation layouts, protection schemes, and coordination with other engineering disciplines, contributing to multiple projects as part of a design team.

Required is a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), up to 2 years of experience, and FE exam progress or completion within 6 months. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Up to 2 years of experience preferred.
• FE Exam passed or will be taking within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design.
• Generate single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines; work as part of a design team.
• May be assigned to more than one project at a time.
