Job summary

Grant County PUD seeks engineers across levels to design, implement, and maintain substation projects within its Power Delivery group. You will develop equipment specifications, review designs, and coordinate with vendors and field teams to ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities include leading or supporting capital projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with FERC/NERC/CIP standards while advancing reliability and performance in transmission assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• 1+ year for Engineer II, 3+ years for Engineer III, 6+ years for Engineer IV, 10+ years for Engineer V as per level.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead capital projects related to substation design and equipment.
• Develop design requirements and technical specifications for equipment used in substations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors; participate in project plans and field transitions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FERC, NERC, CIP) and safety practices.
