Xcel Energy is hiring for an Electrician Apprentice (1st–4th year) or Journeyman to join our team serving Amarillo, TX and the Texas Panhandle region. You will participate in a four-year apprenticeship program and gain hands-on experience in substation construction and maintenance with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, Class A CDL or completion of CDL training in 120 days, CAST test, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL or ability to attend training within 120 days of start date.
• Must have passed Edison Electric Institute's CAST test.
• Must be willing to travel extensively for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform construction and maintenance on electrical substations.
• Communicate effectively and work well with team members.
• Possess safety-conscious approach and adhere to procedures.
