Job summary

Black & Veatch offers an Electrical Engineer Intern role in the Substation group for the East Region. The internship provides hands-on experience in an employee-owned company with opportunities to work across disciplines and project deliverables.

Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program is required, with no experience needed. The internship is office-based, full-time, and located in several US locations including Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
• Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides
• Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies
• Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production
• Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables
• Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems
• Organize project materials, references, and documentation
