The successful candidate will join a team providing design support for both large and small-scale substation engineering projects. This role offers an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual eager to learn and take on new challenges.

As a Substation Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Protection and control design.
2. Assigning project tasks and providing technical guidance to junior team members on moderate to highly complex projects.
3. Performing quality control reviews for work by junior and mid-level engineers and designers.
4. Collaborating with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise, including attending training and seminars to deepen understanding of complex concepts.
5. Potentially assisting in developing technical papers or presentations for industry conferences or events showcasing HDR's capabilities.
6. Conducting quality control reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
7. Working independently and mentoring, training, or supervising less-experienced EITs and designers.

Due to client contract requirements, US-born citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of substation design experience.
• Proficiency with standard industry design software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Some travel may be required.
• Preference for local candidates.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
