Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Design Coordinator to help shape power design options and contribute to project deliverables in the Rapid City area.

You will work with Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, and BIM Specialists on projects ranging from small to large, supporting reliable and sustainable power systems while upholding HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (including engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications).
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects.
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
