Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking two Substation Drafters for remote work focusing on Physical or Protection & Controls drafting. You will help develop substation design packages for clients across the United States, handling projects from small upgrades to large transmission scopes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Position to be filled at an appropriate level according to candidate experience.
  • Drafter I 0+ years related experience.
  • Drafter II 5+ years related experience.
  • Experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to complete tasks on-time and on budget.
  • Foundational understanding of CAD/BIM software AutoCAD, ACADE, and/or MicroStation.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams.
  • Ability to work with remotely located team members.
  • This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug test and is subject to random testing.

  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional work teams.
  • Ability to successfully work with remotely located team members.
  • This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.
Location Note

This is a remote position. Compensation is based on market data and internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s location.

Salary Range

$50,000-$78,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
