Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Designer to provide design and drafting services that meet utility client requirements while conforming to Codes and Standards. The Designer will develop Substation Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, Power & Electrical Distribution, Electrical One-Line Diagrams and Schematics.

This role involves site visits, field measurements, and occasional travel to client sites. An Associate Degree in a technical discipline and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical are required, with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of substation electrical design/drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical; familiarity with field investigations and measurements.
• Knowledge of utility and client-specific standards.

Responsibilities

• Create Substation Layouts, Wiring Diagrams and Schematics per client requirements.
• Produce Electrical One-Line Diagrams and Interconnection diagrams.
• Prepare Plans for Lighting, Grounding, Power, and related details.
• Perform self-checks and ensure adherence to codes and standards.
