Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Technical Specialist to contribute to design and documentation for substation projects. You will perform assignments under the guidance of a licensed engineer, develop design drawings, and prepare calculations and specifications.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and a commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture. Preferred candidates have multi-disciplinary experience and strong communication skills, with a background in engineering and proficiency

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments under supervision of licensed engineer.
• Design tasks using engineering techniques and procedures.
• Produce design drawings and construction documents via CAD and other software.
• Prepare design or quantity calculations and contract documents.
• Coordinate with other disciplines as needed.
