Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Wisconsin is seeking an engineer to join the Engineering Services Team. You will create substation drawing packages, including one-line drawings, plan and elevation drawings, electrical assembly drawings, BOMs, and detailed electrical connections, using SolidWorks and company standards.

You will apply Lean manufacturing principles, support capital projects to improve safety, production efficiency, and quality, and review drawings for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in General Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–6 years of engineering experience in design, development, or project management.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to company standards.
• Commitment to quality, teamwork, and decision-making.

• Ability to review customer specifications against company capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create substation drawing packages including one-line drawings, plan/elevation drawings, electrical assembly drawings, BOMs, and detailed connections.
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to fabrication activities and new configurations of products.
• Support and lead capital projects to improve safety, production efficiency, and quality.
• Troubleshoot production problems and make recommendations based on analysis.
• Drive engineering-related manufacturing changes to improve quality, cost, and lead time.
• Provide solutions to issues affecting operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Analyze manufacturing methods, equipment, and standards.
• Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks and review drawings for accuracy.
