Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Design Drafter for its Engineer-to-Order (ETO) department in Alabama. You will design and draft customized solutions, translating customer requirements into detailed 2D/3D drawings of structural steel, aluminum components, and control mechanisms for high voltage substations and transmission switches.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure drawings meet standards and are produced on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of engineering design experience in ETO environments.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Experience with Engineering Change Management systems.
• Ability to read structural drawings.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication drafting.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and drafting for Engineer-to-order department.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and timely.
• Ensure drawings meet relevant standards and specifications.
• Communicate with production on manufacturability and quality issues.
• Interact with customers during the design and approval process.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders as appropriate.
• Manage own drawing schedule in a fast-paced environment.
