Job summary

Jobot seeks a Substation Design Supervisor to lead the design and implementation of substations supporting transmission and distribution systems. You will oversee a team of engineers and technicians, ensure technical accuracy, and drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in substations, a PE license, and strong leadership abilities within utility/EPC/consulting contexts.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 5 years of substations design experience.
• Proven project management experience.
• Knowledge of NERC standards.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with design and project-management software.
• Ability to relocate per relocation package.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, construction, and maintenance of substations.
• Lead engineers and technicians, providing guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and goals.
• Ensure projects meet schedule and budget.
• Develop and implement design standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth progression.
• Prepare design documents and technical specifications.
