GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist (Electrical Engineer) in Overland Park, KS to design low to extra-high-voltage substations and switchyards. You will develop layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials while coordinating with CAD operators and client personnel.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a client-first approach. Travel for reviews and field verification is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a client-first approach.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of low to extra-high-voltage substations and switchyards.
• Develop and revise drawings for one line, physical arrangement, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with CAD operators to produce organized CAD drawings of layouts.
• Integrate physical layout with protection and control drawings.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and site verification.
