Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance is seeking a Construction Services Technician to support electrical substation construction, installation, maintenance, and repair. You will work outdoors at various project locations with experienced technicians, using specialized tools and vehicles.

The role requires reading drawings and schematics, installing cables and equipment, and following OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards. Travel and overnight stays may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of electrical substation construction experience preferred.
• Strong reading of electrical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
• Safety-focused with OSHA/NFPA70E knowledge.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to obtain company-sponsored certifications.

Responsibilities

• Substation construction and installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Install power cables, grounding, cable trays, and control wiring.
• Assist with transformer assembly, circuit breaker installation, and relay panels.
• Perform conductor fabrication, grounding, steel erection, and bus installation.
• Support transformer oil processing and vacuum filling activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in service-ready condition.
• Provide professional service when working with customers and team members.
