Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer to supervise outsourced substation projects within its Structural and Civil Engineering Outsourced Projects team in Texas. You will coordinate, review, and ensure design quality across 138kV–765kV substations, liaising with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with LCRA standards.

The role requires Texas-licensed PE and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to contribute as a SME on

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the structural and civil designs for electrical substations.
• Review consultant work product for safety, quality, and compliance with LCRA standards.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Relaying, Construction, Real Estate, Legal, and Developer/Customer teams to ensure efficient substation designs.
• Represent LCRA SCE in meetings with project managers, developers, permitting authorities, suppliers, and contractors.
• Develop and improve LCRA’s design criteria and standards as a SME.
