Job summary

LCRA is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to supervise outsourced substation projects and ensure designs meet LCRA standards. You will coordinate with engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable and compliant infrastructure.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas PE license and have strong collaboration skills to work with project managers, permitting authorities, and contractors on multifaceted substations and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas required.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the execution of outsourced structural and civil engineering projects for electrical substations.
• Review consultant work for safety, quality, and compliance with LCRA standards and criteria.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams and external parties to ensure efficient, high‑quality substation designs.
• Represent LCRA SCE in meetings with project managers, developers, permitting authorities, suppliers and contractors.
• Act as a SME for developing and improving LCRA’s design criteria.
