Job summary

AVANGRID is hiring a CAD Operator in Portland, OR to manage the engineering drawings library and support arc flash studies for wind plants. You will work onsite with Operations to ensure accurate drawings, maintain document control, and update models using CAD tools and 2D drafting.

The role requires an associate degree in CAD/Engineering or equivalent, with 0-7 years of experience depending on seniority, and familiarity with NEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, or two year equivalent, in CAD/Engineering/Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Update drawings and ensure correct, up-to-date information in engineering drawings library.
• Assist with arc flash studies and model updates.
• Maintain document control and SharePoint library for engineering drawings.
• Work with CAD systems to update wind plant drawings and electrical controls.
• Prepare field sketches and red-line drawings from various sources.
