Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Associate Substation CAD Operator to support substation projects. The role involves CAD work on red-lined engineering markups, plotting, PDF creation, and coordinating with engineers under supervision.

You will assist CAD technicians, learn AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical, manage multiple drawings, and communicate with project teams to meet deadlines. An Associate Degree is required and growth opportunities are provided within a collaborative, nationwide firm.

Qualifications

Basic 2-D line work and text edits.
Plot and create PDF drawings.
Perform red-line edits and QA/QC procedures.
Assist with general office functions such as printing and folding drawings.

Responsibilities

Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files.
Assist in compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages.
Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package.
Assist CAD technicians and CAD operators in the development of their skills as required.
Attend project-specific meetings as required.
Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
