Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an Associate Substation CAD Operator to support substation projects. You will perform CAD work on redlined engineering markups and assist CAD technicians under engineering supervision, working with engineers and other specialists.

This role requires an Associate Degree in drafting, 0–1 year related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is expected, with occasional extended hours and strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in drafting or technical field.
• 0–1 year related experience required.
• Driver's license required.
• Willing to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Open, revise, plot, and save CAD drawings.
• Assemble, verify completeness of drawing/document packages.
• Learn and use CAD platforms including AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Attend project meetings and prioritize multiple projects under deadlines.
• Assist CAD technicians and work under engineering supervision.
