Job summary

Ulteig is seeking CADD Technician Interns to join our Substation Department for Summer 2027. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to build drafting skills, support project success, and develop high-quality construction drawings under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers.

You will produce plan sets and diagrams using AutoCAD, learn to read electrical drawings, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on reliable utility solutions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed a two-year technical degree in Drafting, CAD Technology or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; knowledge of MicroStation or Revit is a plus.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
• Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams with drafting assistance for electrical substation projects.
• Develop construction drawings for substation protection, control, and physical design.
• Use AutoCAD to prepare plan sets, diagrams, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure quality and consistency of drawings.
• Apply company standards and client requirements to deliverables.
• Learn to read electrical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Contribute to a team-oriented workflow and meet project deadlines.
