Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD drafting or engineering tech, or 4 years related experience.
• Equivalent experience without AAS: high school graduate with 4 years electric utility drafting experience.
• Travel >50% and overtime/shifts required.
• Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle.
• Familiarity with conventional drafting symbols and color distinctions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily work routines to maintain production.
• Create, revise and maintain detailed engineering drawings and sketches.
• Prepare study layouts, designs and bills of materials.
• Read vendor prints and incorporate information into designs.
• Check drawings for compliance with standards and methods.
• Coordinate with other company groups to perform work safely and efficiently.
• Promote safety programs and company policies.
• Create 3D models of substations using CAD software.
