Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a designer to join the Salt Lake City area team. You will draft substation design drawings, perform design support, and build complete construction-ready packages for 34.5 kV to 500 kV projects in a fast-paced power delivery group.

You will collaborate with engineers, define materials, and mentor other CAD users while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of drawings and BOMs. This role is on-site in Woods Cross, UT.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or 2-year CAD certificate with 5+ years in CADD for power delivery.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; MicroStation a plus; strong communication and organization.
• Ability to mentor others and produce final construction-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Draft substation physical design drawings, site plans, and one-line diagrams.
• Develop BOMs, conduit and material specs, and construction drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers; ensure quality of final deliverables.
