Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) in Salt Lake City (Woods Cross, UT) seeks a designer to support substation and transmission line projects from 34.5 kV to 500 kV.

You will draft drawings, calculate conduit requirements, define BOMs, and develop issued-for-construction sets using AutoCAD and MicroStation. You will work with the substation engineering group under a project engineer and project manager, mentoring other CAD users and ensuring adherence to client standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in CADD for power delivery projects.
• Proficient AutoCAD, Windows environment; MicroStation a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail oriented and organized.
• Familiarity with client CADD standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft substation one-line drawings and site plans.
• Create BOMs and issued-for-construction drawings.
• Mentor other CADD users and delegate tasks.
• Apply client CADD standards and learn project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver design packages.
