Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a motivated designer to join our San Diego or Ontario, CA office. You will perform electrical and physical design work for substations from 12 kV to 500 kV, and draft as needed, supporting multiple projects.

The role requires a college degree or 2-year CAD/design certificate, expert AutoCAD usage, and strong communication skills. Travel may be required while contributing to on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or 2-year CAD/design certificate.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to draft; experience with MicroStation preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.
• Attention to detail, quality, schedule and budget considerations.
• Willingness for occasional travel and no visa sponsorship needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation electrical and physical design work and drafting for projects as needed.
• Support other projects as required.
• Resolve AutoCAD software issues.
• Set up AutoCAD environments per client requirements.
