Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in Missouri is seeking a Designer – Substation to support substation design projects across the QISG platform, performing routine 2D/3D design tasks with a focus on accuracy, standards compliance, and CAD proficiency.

The Designer will work under a Lead Designer and collaborate closely with engineers and drafting teams to develop and maintain quality drawing packages for internal and client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent preferred; a 4-year Eng Tech degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high workmanship standards.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Research information in catalogs, specifications, corporate standards, or other references.
• Learn and use the document management system and suggest improvements.
• Learn and apply corporate standard engineering practices.
• Identify project-related problems and propose solutions to stakeholders.
• Travel out of town for short periods as required by projects.
