Job summary

Eversource is seeking an Engineer, Maintenance Support in New Hampshire to provide technical support for substation operations and capital projects, including the Distribution Automation program. You will work with field crews, engineering, and project teams to ensure safe, compliant and reliable operation of transmission and distribution assets.

Responsibilities include testing, troubleshooting, and developing specs for procurement, plus participation in emergency response and after‑hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years related experience; design experience preferred.
• Thermographer Certification ability is a plus; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support substation operations projects including the NH Distribution Automation program.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support, evaluate test results, troubleshoot, and specify equipment.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance maintenance activities with proper documentation.
• Prepare work orders, drawings, proposals, and test results.
• Design, program, test, and support electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Develop technical specs for procurement and maintenance of substation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctioning electrical and software‑based equipment.
• Support maintenance activities including testing, infrared analysis, and corrective actions.
• Review and improve maintenance practices; coordinate training on industry standards.
