Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in North Chesterfield, VA is hiring Therapists for our inpatient Detox and Residential unit. You will create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and conduct individual, group, family and couples therapy to support clients through detox and recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling or related field.
• Virginia state licensure/certification to practice in this role (CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LSATP).
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for clients.
• Conduct individual, group, family and couples therapy sessions.
• Take responsibility for clinical needs, services, and aftercare for your client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene and de-escalate in event of a crisis.
• Maintain impeccable documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and intervention.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director, treatment team and family for seamless coordination of care.
• Model ethics, recovery principles and professional conduct.
