Job summary

Sandstone Care in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Detox Therapist to provide clinical support in detox, inpatient, and residential settings. Qualifications

• Background check is required.
• Master’s degree in behavioral health science is required.
• Active Virginia license in good standing is required.
• Licensure options include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, or Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience including work with ages 13–30 in detox/residential/IOP or PHP settings.
• Candidate must demonstrate ability to manage diverse caseloads with high standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate evidence-based group and individual therapy sessions.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans with the team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory and billing standards.
• Participate in utilization reviews and discussions with insurance providers.
• Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams for integrated care.
• Provide education on addiction, recovery, and mental health to clients and families.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards in client interactions and treatment approaches.
• Participate in program development, meetings, and quality initiatives.
