Job summary

County of Mendocino in Ukiah seeks a leader to oversee alcohol and other drug programs, ensuring compliant services, staff supervision, and strategic planning across prevention and treatment initiatives.

The role includes contract administration, grant management, and coordination with public and private partners to improve service delivery and regulatory compliance under DMC-ODS requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Public Health, Social Science or related field; AND four (4) years of progressively responsible experience providing treatment services in an alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment facility with at least one (1) year experience in supervisory duties and oversight of a program or unit.
• Experience developing and managing contracts, budgets, and grants.
• Licenses: Valid Driver’s License; AOD Counselor Certification or related licensure such as MFT/LCSW/LP or Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program(s) and supervise staff delivering clinical treatment and prevention services.
• Negotiate, develop and monitor contracts with providers and manage budgets and grants.
• Develop policies, procedures and strategic plans for program administration.
• Provide consultation to public and private entities on health and human services programs.
