Job summary

County of Mendocino (BHRS in Ukiah) seeks a qualified supervisor to manage administrative and technical support staff and oversee complex duties in the General/Administrative, Personnel, Staff Development, or Fiscal disciplines.

The role involves supervising staff, preparing major reports, analyzing budgets and policies, and coordinating with other departments and agencies. Requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience; a driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year as a Senior Program Specialist, Senior Staff Services Analyst, or Senior Department Analyst, or two years in specified roles.
• Alternatively, three years of professional administrative experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• An additional two years may substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with policies, procedures and laws.
• Supervise and participate in preparation of major departmental reports.
• Gather and study data regarding department operations and propose improvements.
• Coordinate departmental activities with other divisions and outside agencies.
• Develop curricula and conduct training sessions.
