Job summary

Evergreen Recovery Centers in Mount Vernon, WA seeks a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee to support intake, assessments, and service planning under supervision.

You will lead groups, support individual sessions, document progress, connect clients with community resources, and contribute to a safe, culturally responsive treatment environment while upholding ethical standards and the center's mission.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to document services accurately, follow treatment plans, and comply with policies.
• Collaborative mindset for working within interdisciplinary teams and communicating with counselors, medical staff, and support services.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to reducing stigma related to addiction and mental health.
• Openness to supervision, feedback, and ongoing learning.
• Preferred: Enrollment in or completion of an approved SUD education program and credential eligibility in WA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intakes, assessments, and development of individualized service plans.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions and participate in individual support sessions.
• Document client progress accurately and maintain confidential records.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure integrated, person-centered care.
• Connect clients with community resources and supports relapse prevention planning.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive treatment environment.
