Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a federally qualified health center, seeks a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) for our Puyallup Behavioral Health Clinic. The role involves counseling patients with chemical dependency, conducting assessments, and delivering individual or group interventions for adults, youth, and families.

A strong recovery-focused, client-centered approach is essential. Requirements include an AA degree, WA SUDP license or WA DOH license, CPR/First Aid, and

Qualifications

• AA degree and WA SUDP license or WA Dept of Health license.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of therapeutic approaches.
• Ability to set and maintain therapeutic limits within an agency milieu.
• Understanding theory and practice of individual and group treatment of substance use clients.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Excellent typing, grammar, and spelling skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling services to patients in one-to-one or group formats.
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and intakes.
• Serve adults, youth, and families with substance use treatment.
• Build rapport and empathetic communication to support recovery.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.
