Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Substance Use Disorder team at Baltimore City Correctional Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The LPN will provide direct patient care to individuals with substance use disorders and must hold an active Maryland LPN license.

Evening Shift: 16 hours per week, weekends, 11:30p-8:00a, with responsibilities including nursing procedures and detox protocols. CPR/BLS certification and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active Maryland license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Perform nursing practices and procedures related to addiction services.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Substance Use Disorder) is responsible for conducting nursing practices and procedures relative to substance use addiction services/medicine. This person provides direct patient care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. He/she must be familiar with substance use, treatment modalities and detoxification protocols.

Evening Shift: 16 hours per week/weekends 1130p-8a.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Two years of experience working as a LPN
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
