Qualifications

• Active Substance Use Disorder Professional certification in Washington State is required.
• SUDP-T in Washington State may be considered if the candidate is within ~6 months of completing supervised hours.
• Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field required.
• Three years of work experience in behavioral health services, including counseling, case management, or social work, is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses clients using instruments to determine diagnosis, motivation, relapse potential, physical health needs, mental health needs, environment, and vocational situation.
• Determines level of care and identifies potential intervention strategies that align with treatment plans.
• Conducts individual and group counseling sessions for clients and families using strengths-based techniques.
• Teaches coping skills and relapse prevention strategies.
• Coordinates care with referral sources, family members, and involved organizations to enhance outcomes.
• Participates in development of integrated treatment plans addressing recovery needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
