Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI seeks a Substance Use Disorder Counselor for the L.E. Phillips program in Chippewa Falls, opening in 2026.

The role focuses on counseling adults on their recovery journey within a 50-bed residential setting. Qualifications include a Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential; an associate degree in human services or corrections-related field (bachelor’s preferred); and knowledge of addiction, counseling, and case management principles.

Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential.
• Associate degree in a human services or corrections-related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery, counseling, and case management principles.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with justice-involved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group substance use counseling services.
• Complete assessments, screenings, referrals, and treatment planning.
• Deliver case management and coordinate community support services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clients in achieving recovery, stability, and personal goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Participate in clinical supervision, training, and professional development.

Phillips, a new 50-bed residential treatment program opening in 2026 in Chippewa Falls. This innovative program will provide substance use disorder treatment and restorative justice services for adults on their recovery journey.

Pay

• SAC-IT: $22.75/hour
• SAC: $26.00/hour
• CSAC: $28.00/hour

What You\'ll Do

• Provide individual and group substance use counseling services.

What We\'re Looking For
