Meharry Medical College is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to provide evidence-based substance use counseling, case management, and harm reduction education in the Meharry clinic.

This role supports assessment, treatment planning, referral, and discharge planning, and maintains timely documentation in the electronic health record (TN-WITS) while coordinating linkage to resources and telehealth as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, behavioral health, or related field.
• Minimum of two years' relevant counseling or substance use treatment experience.
• LADAC II or Tennessee licensure eligibility required.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual counseling and relapse prevention using evidence-based modalities.
• Facilitate group counseling, psychoeducation, and skills-based interventions.
• Coordinate referrals and link patients to internal/external providers and community resources.
• Document encounters, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in TN-WITS and EHR.
• Collaborate with clinic staff; participate in meetings, trainings, and supervision.
