Job summary

Escondido Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor for the outpatient MAT program in Escondido, CA. The role provides individual and group counseling to patients with opioid use disorder, in line with MAT protocols.

Full-time schedule is Mon-Fri 5:30 AM–2:00 PM; certifications and state licensing are required or preferred. We offer benefits, supervision, CEUs, and growth opportunities within a leading addiction treatment network.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred.
• AOD registration required; CA-approved organization.
• Experience with MAT and related therapies.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention.
• Ability to document notes and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Document treatment plans and progress.
• Coordinate referrals and aftercare as needed.
• Conduct crisis intervention as required.
• Act as liaison with referral sources.
